Golden Calf Competition at Dutch Film Festival

SHEEP HERO is selected for the Golden Calf Competition of the 39th edition of the Dutch Film Festival. SHEEP HERO will be screened during the Dutch Film Festival in Utrecht.  The winners of the Golden Calves will be announced during the Golden Calves Gala on Friday October 4th. SHEEP HERO is also the opening film of the Nature Film Festival in Oisterwijk on October 3rd. SHEEP HERO is screening at more than 40 international film festivals and has already won various awards for best film, best cinematography and best documentary.

NPO-fund development contribution

The Dutch NPO-fund has granted the development contribution for a new film ‘THE HOLE IN MY LIFE‘.
A lignite mine provides society with energy and security, but in the meantime this expanding hole has an irreversible impact on the lives of a villager, a miner and an activist. They live on the edge of the mine, the hole in their lives. How does this place control their existence and how do they deal with it?

Teledoc Campus in production

The short documentary ‘DOGS LIFE’ by Josefien van Kooten is also chosen to be realised together with KRO-NCRV in the context of the Teledoc Campus. Production: NEWTON film.

People that have problems with their dogs come to dog whisperer Ron. It seems not the dogs, but the owners themselves need further training.
In the reflection between man and dog, the tension between powerlessness and control in people’s lives becomes visible.
