DOK.fest Munich and Docs Against Gravity Warsaw
We are very happy that SHEEP HERO is selected by the renowned DOK.Fest Munich that will take place from May 8-19 in Germany. We will be attending the German premiere on May 9 and also the Polish premiere the day after in Warsaw on the Millennium Docs Against Gravity (May 10-19).
The International Documentary Film Festival Munich was founded in 1985. DOK.fest Munich developed into one of the most important festivals worldwide for feature length creative documentaries, a “best-of”-festival to reflect what may be regarded as the most interesting creative documentaries of the year.
Our film is included in the DOK.panorama section. DOK.panorama shows innovative documentary films from all over the world mapping the diversity and current trends of documentary storytelling.
The Polish premiere is May 10 on the Millenium Docs Against Gravity. Poland’s biggest film festival and the only European film festival held in 6 cities simultaneously. How applicable that the film is in the section: HEROES ARE AMONG US “Superheroes are not only science fiction characters. These films are proof that you can find them by simply looking around.” The film is also in competition in the Green Warsaw Award. We visited the festival in 2010 and look forward to go there again.
