Ton van Zantvoort winner of the European Cinematography Award for best European Cinematography for SHEEP HERO
European Cinematography Award winner
Director/ cinematographer Ton van Zantvoort won with his film SHEEP HERO the European Cinematography Award on the European Cinematography AWARDS (ECA) events, a film competition for filmmakers worldwide. The Cinematography Awards Foundation is an association of film festivals which highlight excellence in cinematography. The Mission is to contribute to understanding of the importance of cinematography to the art and craft of filmmaking.
This week we were also attending DOK.fest in Munich and Millenium Docs Against Gravity festival in Warsaw where SHEEP HERO was screening in competition. Both festivals screened the 150 best documentaries of 2019. SHEEP HERO was on number 4 in the top 5 audience favorites, when we left back home from Warsaw.
Earlier SHEEP HERO already ended up the top 10 audience favorites at IDFA (International Documentary Festival Amsterdam) and won several awards, such as the distribution award of La Trois during the Millennium International Documentary Festival in Brussels and the award for best film and award for best director at NVIFF.
